ENGINEERING DAY III- The Golden Ticket to your career !

ENGINEERING DAY III- The Golden Ticket to your career !

"The Engineering Day gave me the opportunity to get an open and transparent overview of AKKA Benelux. The chat with the consultants and the managers helped me get a better idea about the group identity, the diversity of sectors and projects and the career perspectives. I was particularly enthusiastic about the balance the AKKA consultants experience between specific projects and long-term career development”.
Murielle, System Engineer @ AKKA, recruited during the Engineering Day 2012

In 2012, AKKA Benelux hired more than 130 new talented consultants to reinforce its teams and continue develop its activities. We are still actively looking for engineers and technicians willing to join a dynamic and innovative company to work on cutting-edge technologies.

After the resounding success of the Engineering Days at the Atomium (2011) and the Autoworld (2012), we have decided to renew the experience. This year, the AKKA Benelux Engineering Day III will take place in an unexpected place: The Galeries de la Reine. Save the date: April 18th (from 01 pm- 07 pm).

This will be the perfect opportunity to know more about our activities, meet our managers and have open chats with our consultants in an unusual and original way.

From the presentation of our various sectors in Belgium to international perspectives, you will discover the wide range of possibilities the AKKA Technologies group can offer you.

For more information and to register online, visit the Engineering Day website: http://engineeringday.be We will then confirm you and send you your personal invitation.

Link & GO, a new step taken

Link & GO, a new step taken before its presentation at the International Motor Show in Geneva

The result of all the hard work of the teams at AKKA Technologies’ Research Centre, now known as “AKKA RESEARCH”, the Link & GO is an experimental Concept Car unlike any other of its kind, and was unveiled last Thursday at an exclusive launch for our clients and the press.

Since the project’s kick-off barely a year ago, over 200 of the group’s employees have been involved in this project, which is supported by Yvelines General Council within the context of the call for projects, “Intelligent vehicle – City of the future”.

Following on from the work done to design our first Concept Car, the Astute Car completed in 2010, Link&GO foreshadows the vehicles of the future, responding to tomorrow’s urban mobility challenges: completely electric, self-driving, intelligent and able to communicate.
The main features of the car include:

  1. An automatic vehicle for the city of the future
: This automatic car will be the first bimodal electric car: its driver can choose between manual mode and automatic mode. The vehicle will also work on its own with specific infrastructures such as charging stations, car parks or traffic lanes.
  2. Technology for the benefit of the user: intelligence and manoeuvrability : The technology developed is designed to make the car intelligent and able to communicate. Thanks to the onboard connectivity, the car can communicate with the road network via a multimodal infrastructure (with touch and gesture controls). The use of augmented reality will make use of the vehicle’s detection and analysis capabilities when in automatic mode.
  3. The charging arm: an integral part of the service : The totally independent automatic arm is designed to communicate with the vehicle, making recharging and identification much easier.
  4. Social and sustainable mobility
: Link & Go embodies a user-friendly new mobility solution by encouraging car sharing, making use of social networks in particular. Thanks to the modular driving seat, you can convert the interior into a “lounge” configuration when the vehicle is driving itself. Link & Go is sustainable and fits in seamlessly with the next generation of low-carbon vehicles. The vehicle’s automatic mode will also help make traffic flow more smoothly.

Link & GO will be presented at the next International Motor Show in Geneva.
